Appointed Safety Advisor (ASA) Scheme
By joining the scheme Fletcher Associates becomes your health and safety department and will undertake the following duties:
- Become your “competent person” as required under the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999
- Produce your companies H&S management system
- Produce and maintain your companies H&S policies and procedures
- Assist in the production of the companies risk assessments and method statements for the operations carried out by your operatives
- Liaise on your behalf with the enforcing authorities
For those Contractors who take the role of Principal Contractor under the CDM Regulations 2007 we provide the following support services:
- Produce the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan
- Obtain and vet your sub-contractors risk assessments and method statements
- Produce a site safety file or files
- Undertake the initial site inductions
- Perform site inspections as required
- Produce the information required by the CDM Co-ordinator for the safety file at the completion of the project
