Appointed Safety Advisor (ASA) Scheme

By joining the scheme Fletcher Associates Ltd becomes your health and safety department and will undertake the following duties:

Health and Safety
  • Become your “competent person” as required under the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999
  • Produce your companies H&S management system
  • Produce and maintain your companies H&S policies and procedures
  • Assist in the production of the companies risk assessments and method statements for the operations carried out by your operatives
  • Liaise on your behalf with the enforcing authorities

For those Contractors who take the role of Principal Contractor under the CDM Regulations 2007 we provide the following support services:

Health and Safety
  • Produce the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan
  • Obtain and vet your sub-contractors risk assessments and method statements
  • Produce a site safety file or files
  • Undertake the initial site inductions
  • Perform site inspections as required
  • Produce the information required by the CDM Co-ordinator for the safety file at the completion of the project
